We are a people made up of words whose regular pattern of unique sounds can be written and spoken, and to some extent mimicked. This pattern shapes our nature and nurture. Therefore, our internal and external makeup is like a jigsaw fit made up of smaller sections that join to make a whole.

Genetically, I am Chinese. Both my mother and father hail from the village of Xingchen. On my natural conscience lies the Mandarin language. Wherever I go, am told that writing Mandarin is difficult and complicated. However, to me, Mandarin is not rocket science.  In fact, it is the simplest thing I could ever learn.  As an infant, due to cultural dictate, it was expected of my parents to give little or no praise. Positive reinforcement was viewed as a source of bad luck. To its place, jibes and backward compliments were prioritized. Out of this, most of what I received was negative feedback. To this moment, I would say it affected me. I have since developed little regard for praises, whether channeled to me or to someone else. Here in the United States, I find it hilarious when I see my friends thrilled with praises. However that may be, I cannot blame them. This is particularly because the words that were communicated to me in infancy shaped me to who I am today.

Born and raised in a Christian family, I first got inclined closer to God after being plastered a Christian name by the priest during baptism. At the time, I never had a say on the subject. Neither did I know the essence of it. However, with the long match of time, I’ve come to learn that Michael means a leader of leaders. When I relate this to my sir name, Huang, which means bright, I find it amusing that the words behind the names are a real definition of my true character. However, culture has diluted the supposed greatness in me by placing pleasing people above honesty. With time, I got drowned in the muse to an extent of getting used to looking the other way and never taking sides when confronted with two challenging situations that may upset one party.

            The fictions and romantic film "the words" by Dennis Quaid and Bradley Cooper provide an eye-catching view of how figurative words can explain a situation. For instance, the film is based on a manuscript which is allegedly forgotten on a train by the original author. It presents eye-catching and emotion thrilling romantic escapades without pictorial presentations. We are actually able to "see" the action behind the words. This presentation of thoughts in writings that can be processed into actions by the mind shows that words do not really fall far from actions. They are indeed a greater part of us.

            It is believed that actions speak louder than words. However, in my point of view, words are more important because they let the other person know what you are thinking. Words are like an irresistible enchantment, complimenting on actions such as hugs and smiles that may be able to communicate and assure on message delivery and feedback. My Christian background has made me learn of God using words to supplement on actions. For instance, after showing up the sign of the burning bush, God used words to converse with Moses on what he should and shouldn’t do.

Names that are given to things and people in my home country speak much about their presumed appearance and characters. For example, Shandong Luneng is a great football club. However, because " Luneng" is associated with ancestral or old, people shun away from supporting the club. Consequently, people named "pang" have a likelihood of growing fat in the future. Besides, those names “Huang”, like myself, are likely to be intelligent. Moreover, “Sing” and “ming” are naming methods that mean sir followed by a personal name.  “Sing” is an indicator of respect conferred to a person who is in return curtailed by the reference to behave decently.

 Conclusively, with the passage of time, nurture takes over nature. We, therefore, find ourselves acting in relation to the language we speak, the culture we subscribe to, the slang words and phrases we use and subconscious pictorial definitions that others use to define us. One way of promoting positive feedback from those surrounding us would be through the use of words that are not offensive onto others for words would forever form a greater part of us.

           

Writing is an important part of life today and it is a skill that we often use. Being a part of the education system, I have had my fair share of writing without knowing that there are certain rules and factors that have to be considered and paid attention to in order to complete a perfect piece. Being an English enthusiast coupled with the love of writing, I have learned some aspects of writing. This paper will  appreciate and put to good use some of the aspects. This class has been instrumental in shaping my abilities and making me a better writer. 

A transition refers to a phrase or word connecting an idea to another. This can occur within or between paragraphs and their role is to show the way paragraphs or sentences relate to the overall idea or theme in the written work and to each other. These transitions are essential in that their main aim is to ensure that the information is conveyed clearly and in the end convincing the reader to ascribe to the writer's way of thinking. Transitions make this possible by creating logical connections in the paragraphs, sentences and different parts of the paper. The readers are able to understand and interpret the purpose of the information passed to them since they act as indicators that show the reader how to differentiate, organize and the reaction of new as well as old ideas as they read the paper. I have learned that the use of transitions is the direction provider to the reader and points to how the various ideas in the written work come together and make a concise and logical argument. They provide particular and specific meaning that draw particular reactions from the reader with every idea they connect.

By giving the reader these essential cues, the reader easily understands how the ideas in the text come together. In paragraph structure, the transition words put emphasis on how the ideas in the paragraphs relate guiding the reader into seeing the line of thought and capturing connections that otherwise could have been misunderstood. In the paragraphs, transitions do multiple functions depending on how well they are placed. Transitions can be used to show addition, list examples, compare and contrast, conclude and even to show time, direction and place. A transition word or phrase can be used to show an existing relationship by providing a summary of the previous paragraph and giving a suggestion in terms of content in the next paragraph. In giving the point and major idea of the paper, to giving the specific details as the illustration and finally the explanation, transitions are important in making sure these aspects of PIE are in sync.

Another important aspect I have learned is the editing of quotations. The importance of quotations cannot be emphasized enough since every minute change can lead to results that turn out to be effective when it gets to putting quotations into writing. Proper use of quotations can create a smooth flow in the paper and also show the transitions between the writer’s ideas as well as the ideas of the experts quoted. Maintaining short quotes enables the writer to focus on the explanation of the examples given and their relationship to the theme of the text. I have learned to integrate quotations into the text that surround it and the use of proper punctuation and content interpretation to make the meaning of my writing clear. After giving the point in the paragraph, quotations are useful in providing the specifications that support the point or claim thereby giving a reasonable connection between the illustration and the point. Using quotations differs from paraphrasing since quotations give the exact words used by a speaker or writer.

PIE means point, illustration, and explanation and represents the manner in which we talk as well as write to put across our ideas. PIE helps readers grasp the idea of what the writer is expressing and they can understand the message since the prose is centered on the reader. the point refers to the main idea, usually the topic sentence that holds the major information of the paragraph while the illustration refers to an example that helps illustrate the topic sentence or the point. The illustration gives support to the point and is supposed to be a concrete or specific fact. It comes after the point is stated in the sentences that follow and gives the details that can include quotes, the author’s analysis, and evidence. Finally, the explanation gives the reasoning and the logical connection between the illustration and the point and the writer generally explains to the reader why he or she believes in the particular example that has been given to support the point and to drive the point home. The connection explained in this section is essential because without it the information might be misinterpreted by the reader.

Conclusion

Learning the PIE strategy requires practice and constantly applying this strategy has helped in making it an automatic part of writing. This strategy is highly motivating and makes it easier to collect background ideas and knowledge to the fingertips and the points presented show good use of prior knowledge of the main point.

 

Plagiarism is a situation where an individual uses another person’s ideas and portrays them as their own. Plagiarism has numerous repercussions that have overreaching effects that have the potential of destroying the work of both the owner and the culprit. Effects of plagiarism range from legal challenges to disciplinary actions; however, the most destructive effect of plagiarism is academic repercussions. Depending on the state and the educational institution, there are different academic repercussions. I want to have more of happy people surrounding me, people with similar intentions and attitudes towards having a greater balance in life. With more happy people in my life, I will have an ability to set up new goals and strategize on ways of reaching them without negativity. In the process, there will be a higher chance of achieving the set goals promptly, also, to have enjoyed the process. The success will be shared by the people who participated in the process as they will have an understanding of the challenges faced.

I want to have less of criticism and negative people. Irrespective of constructive criticism an essential concept in the bid to achieve a greater balance; there is criticism that has adverse effects. When surrounded by people who lack faith or do not believe in the process of obtaining a greater balance in life, there is a higher chance that the attempt might fail. Therefore, to ensure I achieve my goals in time and acquire the desired effects, I need to have less of negative criticism. Additionally, with less of such individuals, the process will have fewer hurdles and thus enhance the experience. I need to simplify the process of achieving a greater balance by reducing some attitudes. For instance, the world is set in a way that societies believe in material wealth as to spiritual wellness. It is my responsibility to reduce the effects of such attitudes to ensure the process is as smooth as possible. Simplifying such issue will also play a significant role in attracting people with similar intentions to the process and thus make it fun and enjoyable.

I need listening skills as they will be of paramount importance in reaching a greater balance. Communication is an essential component in the bid to achieve a greater balance; it is in this sense that I need to seek ways of ensuring that there is sufficient communication throughout the process. Acquiring listening skills will ensure that all the individuals involved have better communication which plays a significant role in bringing the team member closer. Additionally, the close relationships that will result from effective communication will increase the chances of a successful process. I will also need to know that other people’s opinions matter irrespective of being different from mine. The ability to embrace the different personalities that make up various people is of the essence to the process as I will have an in-depth understanding of the differences that people have. Notably, such knowledge will assist in reducing conflicts along the way which has the potential of derailing the success of the process. More so, I need to learn from all the experiences, challenges, and hurdles along the way. Through this way, I will enrich my experience which will be of the essence to the success of the process.

I will also need to change some limiting beliefs and attitudes such as over personalizing issues. There are some negative issues that I will face throughout the process that will require a different approach. Having a different perspective on the problems that seem negative or reduce the speed of acquiring a greater balance is of the essence to the process in general. It is this mentality that has made me seek ways of over-looking some negative issues and creating room in my mind for positivity. Additionally, looking at the bright side of the negative problems will reduce my chances of continually getting upset.

To achieve the balance that I want I must sacrifice toxic relations. In the process of finding greater balance, there are some relations that are toxic and negative. Irrespective of trying to change the mind of such people with regards to the process and failing; I have to let go such relations as they will prevent me from achieving my goals. I will also need to sacrifice some things that I considered fun such as the type of films to which I am accustomed. There are some images in the films and TV shows that have negative effects on the process of acquiring a greater balance.

I will also eliminate material things that will stand in my way of achieving a greater balance. Items such as flashy cars and technological gadgets are destructing to the process; therefore, eliminating them albeit for some time will ensure that I understand that life can be fulfilling without them. The understanding will increase the success of the process and provide a different perspective on life which will reduce over-dependence on such things. Finally, I need to let go things considered vain. For instance, there are some attitudes and personal belongings that are important to me as an individual but futile to the process. Therefore, reducing vanity will enhance success in addition to adopting better attitudes that improve a greater balance. Furthermore, letting go of such issues will bring me closer to my goals as well as providing an opportunity for personal growth.

   

 

           

 

 

Strong debates on what is right and wrong in language have been evident since the times of William Shakespeare to the present times. This could be attributed to the changing nature of language. New words and sentence structures emerge in each generation. Rules have been set to guide on the use of language. However, disagreements exist especially on the contrasting nature of written and spoken English. While some teachers and established writers of English argue that laid down rules have to be followed when using English, Ann Curzan thinks that language is diverse hence context should be key in determining correct language use. She goes further and states that both written and spoken language should be treated similarly. Although great writers and teachers of English hold a different view, the diverse nature of language is more convincing. Hence, strict grammatical rules as a cause of confusion in the English language is the main thesis of this article.

One appealing argument for this article is how prescriptive and descriptive use of language contradict when grammatical rules are followed. Prescriptive language is taught and enforced while descriptive language is earned when one uses a language. According to Curzan, enforcing laws cause confusion. She also observes that spoken language often breaks most grammatical rules and yet the speaker is still considered to be right. In this regard, even those who have been involved in drafting such rules make the same mistake in their speech and daily lives. Curzan thinks that the best way to look at such a situation is by observing the flow of the sentence and not the rules.

            The argument for rules as a cause of confusion in language is that it does not consider context as a determinant in gauging right from wrong language use. For instance, the use of slang words and phrases during a political rally would be considered right but when the same speech is written down, it will be termed as wrong use of language. Curzan holds that spoken and written language should be judged in a similar way and that the building block of proper grammar should be based on the flow of the spoken sentence. Consequently, she proposes that language usage should not be limited to set down rules but be diverse because it is only through diversity that the true growing nature of any language can be possible.

 

 

 

 

Ever since its discovery, money has been a very important catalyst as well as motivator of all human beings. This fact is widely accepted and considered to be true by each and every individual who understands monetary value. Notably, each of us has ever heard regarding the phrase, ‘money makes the world go round’. This is considerably true as no one can do without money especially in today’s fiscally pumped up world. Money has a way of making everything better, viz a viz, it can ensure that you have all the comforts which one desires, one can have the best medical care, and one can also get the best education ‘money can buy’, as ironic as it may sound. In this write up, we are going to discuss the similarities between “The Great Gatsby” and the film, “Generation Wealth”, while at the same time elucidating on the main theme of money, which seems to be one of the main similarities between the two.

“The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald is arguably one of the most prominent literary works in the United States. This is due to the verity that the main theme is centered on monetary wealth. In this particular book, money has the inclination of being a great motivator among the characters and their respective relationships (Bloom 62). Suffice to mention that indeed wealth has the propensity to develop a distinctive elucidation upon an individual’s life, while at the same time, impacting their future either positively or negatively. The great Gatsby could be interpreted as a story of both misfortune and victory, mostly due to how the author of this book imaginatively yet meticulously captures a sample of American society. In this book, the author portrays Gatsby as the proverbial ‘fighter’ who is ready and willing to do anything in order to attain what he as an individual wishes (Bloom 89). Gatsby, being from a relatively poor background holds the notion that the love of his life, Daisy, is inclined to give him a chance of love when and if he attains some semblance of wealth. He further believes that attaining material and fiscal wealth is all that he requires so as to have a happy life.

On the other hand, in the film “Generation Wealth”, film maker Lauren Greenfield tells the story of today’s generation’s ever growing fixation with fiscal and material wealth. This can easily be seen in the beginning of the film when the former hedge fund manager Florian Homm, laments how she “looooves money” (Ehrlich, n.p.). Florian, being the central character of this film is also another individual who is passionately obsessed with fiscal and material wealth. This film also illustrates on the stark levels we as individuals are willing to stoop in order to achieve wealth or even the illusion o wealth. This can be seen in the film when we hear regarding families, students, as well as single parents who are overwhelmed by debt being resolute in purchasing luxury clothing, cars and houses (Ehrlich, n.p.). It is without a doubt that the similarities between these two pieces of literature and film purely exists with our growing fixation of the acquisition of wealth and the means we as Americans are willing to take in order to gain, maintain, and even portray the illusion of wealth.

 

Each song or poem has a story. American poets and songwriters of the19th century used their writings to illustrate the situation in American society and beyond.  But, does racism cause inequality in society? In “The Ballad of the Landlord,” Langston Hughes presents the real situation in American society during the 1940s. The landlord and the tenant feature in the poem. The Ballad is composed in the impoverished squalor background of the black American community. Conflict exists when the landlord, a white and the owner of the apartment, fails to repair a broken house and when confronted by the tenant, a black, he calls in the police. After that, the tenant gets arrested, jailed and termed a disgrace to society. Hughes presents the theme of conflict, racism, and discrimination in the poem, alongside stylistic devices such as allusion and personification that creates a picture in the mind of the reader of the racial situation in the 1940s. This paper is therefore aimed at providing a discussion on how the major themes highlighted in the poem define the real situation of the 1940s American society. Thus, an illustration of Racism as the primary cause of inequality is the main point of focus for this paper.

 

Many scholars hold the view that racial discrimination is the leading cause of inequality between whites and blacks (Manduca 186). Hughes describes the relationship between the tenant and the landlord to illustrate how two races differ, from the financial endowment to treatment by both the law enforcing unit, the court and between themselves. It is evident that the black tenant is living in a desolate shack with a broken stairway and a leaking rooftop that the landlord does not seem to care to repair. “Landlord, Landlord / my roof has sprung a leak” (1-2). The tenant continues to complain in stanza two, “Landlord, Landlord / These steps is broken down.” (5-6). The landlord does not treat the tenant as an equal human. He is comfortable with the tenant staying in a house in bad conditions and wants the tenant to pay more money to get the house repaired. “Ten Bucks you say is due? / Well, that's Ten Bucks more'n I'l pay you (10-11). Hughes uses these lines to demonstrate inequality in the treatment of blacks. The landlord does not find a reason for repairing the house using the monthly rent. Instead, he wants the tenant to pay for repairs. 

Hughes uses Law enforcing authority in depicting Inequality based on racial discrimination. Even at present, the police force is still instrumental in conducting discrimination based on race. Fryer reports that police are 21 percent more likely to draw weapons for blacks as compared to whites (4). In the poem, the landlord seeks help from the police instead of attending to the plight of the tenant. “Police! Police / Come and get this man!” (21-22). The white Landlord is sure that the police department will show up and side with him. Surprisingly, as presented by Hughes, the police respond to the call of the landlord with absolute urgency. “ Copper’s Whistle! / Patrol bell!" `Hughes, therefore, uses these quotes to illustrate further how favoritism the police are against the black race. While the plight of the landlord to get his rented house repaired does not attract immediate attention, his arrest, as a form of white supremacy and black suppression is treated as an urgent matter. Additionally, the Tenant is treated like a criminal by the police who arrest him and lock him in police cells. "Arrest / Precinct Station / Iron cell (27-29). Hughes uses the three lines to illustrate the criminalization of the black Americans by the police.

 Hughes present in the poem a situation that denotes the housing department and media houses involvement in racial discrimination. In the verse, the landlord threatens the tenant with eviction orders. He plans to use the housing department, which is composed of whites to deny the tenant access to the house.  “What? You gonna get eviction orders?” (13). Hughes further shows that the landlord is confident and proud when stating his stand on throwing the tenant from the house. “Um-hun! You talking high and Mighty / Talk on- till you get through” (16-17) Hughes uses these lines to illustrate the confidence with which the landlord has in the housing department. The landlord is sure of getting assistance from the housing department to cut off the tenant from the premises. The media, on the other hand, writes on the newspapers that the tenant threatened the landlord." Headlines in press: / Man Threatens landlord" (30-31). Hughes uses these lines to portray how the media, which is composed of whites, view the tense situation between the tenant and the landlord.  The weight which the press gives the information is enormous. To the media, the tenant has no right to face the landlord and press for house repairs. The action by the tenant is an occurrence that is alarming and is given special attention.  

The law department is not left out. Hughes goes further and shows how courts are instrumental in promoting inequality based on racial discrimination. In the poem, the tenant is denied bail. “Tenant Held Bail” (32). In this line, Hughes illustrates the American Judicial system’s stand on Black Americans. From the lines, blacks cannot be entrusted with freedom in the form of bail in fear that they would not turn up on the hearing day. Additionally, the judge sentences the tenant to three months of jail term for fighting for his rights. “Judge Gives Negro 90 Days In County Jail” (33). The judgment is total discrimination. Hughes uses an exclamation mark in the line to further portray his astonishment on the decision by the court. 

Conclusively, Racism is the primary cause of Inequality. Black supremacy is as essential as white supremacy. The court system, the police department, and any governmental organization should be at the forefront of promoting equality. However, this is not the case as presented by Hughes in his poem set in the 1940s backdrop. Fryer's presentation on continued inequality by the police in the 21st century only proves how far we are in matters of racial equality. All of us are equal in the face of God, but as Manduca presents, unequal in the face of man; a situation Manduca attributes to financial inequality where the whites have more wealth than the blacks hence making them appear supreme. In my view, we should distance ourselves from racial discrimination because it is an inefficient and backward vice. I support equality irrespective of race. Precisely, I hate inequality perpetuated by racial differences

 

Stereotyping as an aspect of daily lifestyle promoted by the nuns and teachers at the residential school had a great impact on me. For instance, the belief that any Aboriginal child would run away from school or misbehave if granted freedom is a belief far away from decent human handling. We see some student getting punished for acts like acknowledging their parent. This reminds me of the time when we went to an Arabian country for vacation. My family and I were judged based on the color of our skin. Everyone in the county believes that whites have money. So, they charged us twice the normal price. This was a heartbreaking experience that made us leave the county before due time. Another aspect that made me sad was the bullying of the students. We are presented with a heartbreaking situation where a student's hands are tied at the back to prevent him from using the sleeves of his shirt to wipe his nose. This is kind of treatment is quite similar, though more devastating to what I received when I first joined a certain school. A particular boy kept knocking my head any time I looked at him. I nearly dropped out.

The Healing Process

The process of healing from these heinous acts undergone by the Aboriginal community as presented in the novel should begin from the churches. Priests and Nuns were at the forefront in conducting the barbaric acts.  Consequently, the Pope should take this initiative on behalf of all those who worked under him. Through this, the survivors will feel their cry for justice recognized. Additionally, the Catholic Church should come out and offer explanations on the reason it allowed the acts to be conducted. Lastly, the church should develop an agreement of compliance to humane treatment of the Aboriginal communities in future interactions.

Another way that reconciliation would be most effective is by enhancing equitable resource allocation. The government should invest more funds in establishing law schools in the aboriginal settlements to teach and enlighten the local community on their rights as citizens. Besides, more funds should be set aside to enable construction of post-secondary schools in the Aboriginal settlements. This will enable sons and daughters of the Aboriginal people feel inculcated in the national goals of development. The curriculum should be structured in a way that allows inculcation of Aboriginal traditional customs, beliefs and culture in the Education system. This extended hand would be a sign of Government contrition for the acts that were committed on its watch. 

                The federal government should pass into law the United Nations Declarations that protect the rights of indigenous people. The rights of people include right to fair treatment, right to education, right to access to government facilities and services, the right to be heard and the right to federal protection. For instance, Aboriginal survivors of mistreatment should be allowed to change their names, and identity documents. This will serve by protecting them from ridicules and jibes. Besides, it will be a symbol of a new leaf for the lives of such people.

                Also, the government should come up with a laid down document reaffirming the aboriginal people of independence. This endeavor should extend to ensuring that those who did the acts of injustice onto the aboriginal people are brought to Justice. Besides, the federal government should ensure that provincial and territorial governments take into new changes. Moreover, the Crown should be involved and made to outline its stand on the independence of the aboriginal people and their place in the Canadian state. Consequently, individual citizens of the great Canadian nation should be willing to treat the Aboriginal community as part of the larger nation.

                Lastly, the Aboriginal language and culture should be protected by laid down legislation. These laws should recognize the culture and language as a fragment of the larger Canadian culture. Moreover, the government should set aside funds for the protection and preservation of the language and culture for future generations. This could be through means such as storing the cultural fabric in books. The government may also show remorsefulness to the Aboriginal people by creating National diplomas and Degree studies in Aboriginal Language.

A phobia is an absurd and excessive fear of a situation or an object. Research conducted by the American Psychiatric Association shows that Females are the most affected by phobias. However, I would describe myself as phobia enriched. In most instances, fear of harm or a sense of being in danger cause the phobias I experience.  At one time when I was in sixth grade, we went for swimming classes and after jumping into the pool, a tinge of pain cut across my heart, making me lose my breath. During the confusion, I lost control of myself and started drowning. The lifeguards jumped into the water and shoved me out of the pool. Moments later, I found myself lying on the school clinic bed. On examination, the doctor observed that my heartbeat rate had gone up and my body was shaking. My breathing too was shaky and I was nauseated. My conscience told me that I would die. On further observation, the doctor disclosed that I was hydrophobic.

Hydrophobia is a type of specific phobia that renders a patient unreasonably fearful of water (Muris, 2017). According to Muris, specific phobias are observed at an early age in patients hence are most common in adolescents and children. Besides the fear of water, other specific phobias that I have experienced in my life include the fear of crossing a tall bridge and standing on the roof of story buildings. Additionally, I also used to fear Spiders and was greatly shaken when speaking or doing an activity before a crowd of people in class or even when given an opportunity to grace for the family before dinner. As I described my condition to the Doctor at the clinic, he told me that I was also suffering from social phobia. Hyett and McEvoy (2018) define a social phobia as an extreme and pervasive fear of public situations such as public speaking. The crowd by the poolside, according to the doctor, could have attributed to my sudden collapse. 

The most usual way that I used to survive with my phobias was by isolating myself from other people. However, the doctor had a different view. He suggested exposure treatment, counter conditioning techniques, and prescribed antidepressants to help relax my nerves during tense moments. Exposure treatment entails being exposed to the things that create tension and fear in people (Barlow, Conklin, & Bentley, 2015). For instance, I trained myself to cope with hydrophobia by forcing myself to stay in the pool for hours without opting out in spite of being shaken.  Additionally, Barlow, Conklin, and Bentley (2015) defined Counter conditioning as the technique whereby a person is trained to respond positively to a feared object or condition. For instance, I have applied counter conditioning, especially when addressing congregations. Rather than panic in the face of the huge crowd, I choose to relax in the comfort of my audience’s gaze. However, sometimes I experience a little tension. In such an instance, I rescue myself from a phobia attack by taking a dose of benzodiazepine medicine that was prescribed by my doctor to ease my nerves whenever I face fear or anxiety.

Conclusively, knowing that I have specific and social phobia has been instrumental in enabling me to face my greatest fears; the fear of water, and the fear of speaking or doing anything in front of a large crowd.  Training myself to cope with the many types of phobias that I poses has largely been through intrinsic motivation. From forcing myself to do the things that scare me most to taking a different perspective when faced with fear and anxiety has been instrumental in helping me to lead a normal life. I have learnt that each and every person is capable of facing their fears. All it takes is a little advice from a medical practitioner and intrinsic motivation to conquer any form of phobia.
